The Rodgers knife Has wear and sharpening to the blade which has some movement when open and an audible snap when closed, however the blade stands proud when closed, the marlin spike has movement and wobble when open and closes with a snap, the middleton knife has a crack to one handle, the blade shows wear and sharpening, locks in place with some movement and wobble when open and closes positively. the Veritable knife is rock solid when open with no movement and strong snap when closed. Rodgers measures 13 cm closed, Middleton 10.5 cm and the veritable is 11.5 cm
